Florida State's 6th Ranked Defense Stymies UMass

UMass was held by Florida State to 27.9 percent shooting from the field and went 2-for-23 from 3-point range. It was their worst performance from distance since missing all 12 threes against Richmond in 2006. 

Florida State is holding opponents to a 32.1 field goal percentage, sixth lowest in the nation.

Dribble Drive Creator Walberg Leaves UMass, Could End Up With NBA Job

Vance Walberg has left UMass after three seasons as assistant coach under Derek Kellogg to pursue other opportunities.

"Vance did a terrific job working with the team over the last three seasons," Kellogg said. "He served an integral role in our transition as a coaching staff and I wish him luck in his new endeavors."

A UMass source said on Wednesday that Walberg could explore opportunities in the NBA.

Walberg is best known for being the creator of the Dribble-Drive offense that is run by Kentucky.
